Enfield Mental Health Users Group (EMU) is a registered charity providing group advocacy for people using Mental Health Services in the London Borough of Enfield. The Charity is run by Mental Health Service Users
EMU's Vision
- To be an independant user group led by service users for service users to promote personal development.
- To engage and consult with service users with their different needs in all thier diversity.
- To improve communications between service users and service providers to effect change.
- To actively seek out and record any concerns from any service user in the London Borough of Enfield using as many means as possible.
- To represent service users on as many committees and recruitment panels held by service providers as possible to influence change.
- To promote and ensure the best treatment for potential and present mental health service users and offer peer support.
- To challenge stigma within the community, to promote social integration and work towards more positive images of people with mental problems.
